The only criteria needing to be fulfilled is your team of 11 can’t have played cricket during the last 5 years!! All joking aside any teams interested in a friendly game should get in touch with our Rob Jamieson better known as Robbie "the Flintoff" Jamieson.
Batman and Robin AKA Steve Ellis and Rob Jamieson of our Contracts department attended the well know Windmill lakes complex in the Champagne region. With sound strategy in place Steve and Rob broke the lake record with the largest fish and the lake record for the total amount of fish caught in a week.
The day was well attended with just under half of the workforce participating and resulted in a draw and numerous brightly coloured bruises! A big thank you goes to Rhys Stickings for organising the day and we are looking forward to a repeat match (but maybe not the bruises!).
With excellent food and a few memorable speeches from new staff and the Management Team (including the recollection of an Irish Builder’s Tale sung in Irish by one of our apprentices), a good time was had by all. After the meal was over, the party moved into the town for a few seasonal drinks. The next meal is now in the planning and it is hoped that it will be even better than last year.
